Today’s Animal Spirit Guide…Panda

I’ve decided to start expanding on my daily Animal Spirit Guide tweet by also posting a blog reading on the card as well. I used to do these for the Angel Messages I did on my old blog and I’m really enjoying connecting with these animal guides so I thought this would be a nice thing for all of us! When I’m doing these readings I’m working with several different decks:

Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides by Steven D. Farmer
and
The Druid Animal Oracle by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm

Today the animal spirit guide that comes through for all today is:
Panda

The message with Panda is:
Create a sacred space for yourself in your home and/or place of work.

If you’ve ever watched a Panda they are, in their own way, they are very sort of contemplative looking animals. Wherever they are they seem to be in their own sort of sacred space. So the message with Panda is to find and create sacred space. A space for peace, solitude and contemplation. Not all of us have a work place where we can create a space that we can call sacred, but at home, even if it’s a corner in a room where you can spend time along and in peace. The purpose of this space is to give you a place to be at rest, release stress and listen to your thoughts. For some people that’s the scariest thing in the world, but it’s also one of the most important things that we can do since when we don’t do it this is when we find ourselves cluttered and stressed mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Pick a space and set up a small altar. This doesn’t need to be anything elaborate and nothing religious if you don’t wish it to be. However if you want to also include divine images some that are especially fitting for this include images of the Buddha or Gaia and meditative images. Including a special candle in either white or blue (or a favorite personal color) which can be a focal point for keeping your mind in the moment. I also prefer to also include incense, either sandalwood or another light scent. You may want to journal during your time in your sacred space if you find just thinking on the thoughts that come in and out doesn’t connect for you. For some, journaling about thoughts during contemplation help to release them and can be key in this sort of exercise.

So like the Panda we can sit, slow down, observe and contemplate to help us move ahead with clear thoughts. Some other keywords for Panda energy include:

rarity, vegetarianism, polarity, willpower, solitude, privacy, sacred space, intuition, perspective, gentleness, strength, flexibility, modesty, economy
