Info for Thursday August 13

Today’s magickal correspondences and information which you can use for helping to guide your meditations for the day or other magickal work are as follows.

Moon: The moon is currently waning and moves into the sign of Taurus today. The moon phase will be in the Fourth Quarter at 2:55pm EST.

Color: Turquoise

Incense: Balsam

Magickal Influences: Today is a good day for working with money matters, however the energies for today are in a repelling phase so it’s a good day to work on removing blocks that you might be having in financial matters. Also, the energy for this sort of work will be in effect before the moon shifts into Mood Void of Course at 8:17 PST/11:17 EST since the Void will last until Friday morning 3:25 PST/6:25 EST.

Feast Day: Hecate/Runic half-month of As commences
Another festival of the Goddess Hecate.
The rune As is sacred to the deities of Asgard: a time of stability, with the divine force obviously at work in the world. This letter corresponds with the ash tree. The world ash, Yggdrasil, is a symbol of continuity in times of change and chaos. The Odinic festival of runes falls within this half-month on August 25th.
(from The Pagan Book of Days by Nigel Pennick)

Quote of the Day: “In saffron-colored mantle, from the tides of ocean rose the morning to bring light to Gods and men.” – Homer
