Operation Blog Reface – Day 1

Day one of my attempt to have a crash course in CSS and MySQL has come to an unproductive end. Well, that’s not entirely true. I did manage to find some workable themes to try modifying but I keep running into errors with the ones that I like the most. I have managed to find a program along the way that will allow me to create my own theme from the ground up, but I’ll need to take the time to make graphics and stuff for it if I go that route. I am starting to give consideration to having someone that knows what they are doing do it for me in exchange for cash. *sigh*

I am again blogging from bed, a place I don’t seem to spend any time in these days. I got roughly 5 hours of sleep over the course of last night and right now. It’s been terribly hot here in (otherwise) lovely San Diego. By the time I would normally go to bed the sun is out and blazing so it almost too hot to sleep. Tonight I’m trying more normal sleep times just so I don’t wake up in a pool of my own sweat. Tomorrow will either consist of more of the same from today, or, going to the movies. If we do go we’ll be seeing “Taking Woodstock”. I’m going to go during the week on my own to see “Halloween 2″…I don’t want to force anyone else to see that.
So that’s today’s update. Nothing exciting, just computer torture. Now I’m going back to reading. I am reading “Twelve Wild Swans” as part of my current Sacred Mists work. I should say it’s more like reading and dissecting, like performing a very messy autopsy. I have great respect for Starhawk and all she’s done but I’m not a huge fan of her books. I am determined not to let that hold me back or be a big road block with what I’m doing. I just wish it was a little less gross so meditating would be more likely!

Mood: HOT and pretty tired
