This weekend we’ll be looking to the Angel Therapy deck from Doreen Virtue for our angel messages. I’ve been working with people all week doing readings with these cards and they are wonderful! If you have any need for a simple reading that you wish to connect with the angels for, this is the deck to use. Great healing messages but also very empowering messages for the future and moving ahead in any area of your life. So let’s see what they have for us today!
God Box
Write any worries, concerns, or desires on a piece of paper that you put into a special
container called a “God Box”, as a way of letting go and allowing the Divine to help you.
Using a tool like a God/Goddess Box is a wonderful way to work a little bit of magick into the simple act of prayer and create and active way to petition the Divine for help. I have a Goddess Box that I made about three years ago and it gets a lot of use. It is a wonderful tool for letting go. You simply create the box as a spiritually guided arts and crafts project, cleanse and consecrate it, then when you have something that you need help dealing with, releasing or a specific wish that you are looking for help with, you simply write it on a slip of paper or parchment, give it some energy and intention and then place it in the box asking that it either be removed from you or that a doorway be opened for action and positive change.
But that’s just one aspect of it. When we work with a tool that helps us to release and let go of things that are otherwise holding us back it can help to solidify the work more in our minds. When we have a physical act, like work a spell, we feel our energy more engaged in our request and we feel as though we are more a part of what we’re looking for than when we just ask the God or Goddess for help. Not everyone gets the same feeling or effect from the simple act of heartfelt prayer in the same way that a physical act in tandem with that prayer can deliver. A God/Goddess Box is a great way to do that. You can look at it as the mailbox or suggestion box of the deity that you most wish to go work with. This can be a patron that you already have, one you’re working with, or it can be a box simply dedicated to the archetypal God or Goddess.
