For this weekend’s message/reading we are back to looking into the Wild Wisdom of the Faerie.  With Litha/Summer Solstice right around the corner and many of us celebrating this weekend it’s possible that the faerie energy may be especially high for those of us that are working with the fae folk.  So let’s see what they have for us for this weekend…

It’s particularly interesting to me to see that our first card for the weekend is one dealing with time considering that a few days ago our reading with the Dragonfae was specifically about dealing with time.  Here we look again at a very similar concept, that of going in and out of time as though time has no specific place.  In the land of the fae time as we know it doesn’t exist.  People that travel to the faery realms talk about feeling as though only moments have passed yet in could be hours, even days, in “human time”.  You may find that this is how your weekend is starting out, that feeling of time not really existing in a way that you understand or feel it normally.  This is part of the fae’s influence over this turning of the Wheel of the Year and rather than fight it or become frustrated with it, flow with it.  Don’t let time hold you back and instead enter into that sacred space with the fae and experience things from a different perspective.

With the Summer Solstice (or Winter Solstice for those in the southern hemisphere) we are about to have a door opened and have a chance to walk through and transform ourselves.   The fae, and whatever other spiritual energies and beings that you work with, will happily escort you across, through the door and to the other side.  Entering into the spirit of this new season there are lessons to learn, experience to have and things to leave behind.  As you celebrate your rituals and honor your Gods this weekend with friends and family (of birth and of choice), take the time to let go of things that you don’t want to carry with you into the new season and open up space for new things to come in.  The Greenman’s door will allow you to pass through to this new place of understanding, experiencing this new season, but you can’t carry all that baggage with you.  Let go of what you don’t need and travel lightly into the new season.

Over the course of the weekend, and during your seasonal celebrations, be open to the idea of greeting and welcoming a new mentor or new path for learning.  This new season is going to bring you many new opportunists for learning but you need to be reading to accept them.  Something this weekend will become the precursor to that.  You may meet a new teacher, whether in spirit or in the flesh, who can help to guide you along your path and open more doors for you that previously you couldn’t seem to open yourself.

This weekend is going to prove to be a fun one but also a very interesting and spiritual one for those who are ready to embrace that.  The Gatekeeper will let you pass through to these experience if you are truly ready…and be sure to bring and offering for the Greenman to leave at his door!  On the other side of the door The Merlin awaits to help bring you to higher levels of spiritual and magickal growth and understanding.
