And the winner is….
Jul 14th
ME! That’s right! If you haven’t already heard I was successful in my quest to win the Tarot Guild membership drive contest! And I have many of you to thank! Thank you all for writing in for invites, contacting me with your questions about the Guild and then joining up. I’ve seen some of you around the Guild posting and participating. I hope you’re all enjoying it. And if you haven’t joined, no worries! Join today for free and check it out (and if you don’t know what I’m even going on about here, be sure to take a look at the write up I did on the Guild back in June).
As I had promised I’m going to be giving everyone that joined a little prize and a thank you for their help. If you joined through one of my invites then you’re on my friends list on the Guild. I’ll be contacting each of you through the Guild with a message asking if you’d like a reading, the type you’d like (tarot, angel or faery) and getting your question. When the sway box (because it’s bigger than a bag) comes there are several items in there that I already have so I’ll be giving those away.
Now comes the hard part. Waiting! I’m leaving for vacation on Friday and I’ll be gone for two weeks. It’s possible that I’ll have some down time to do some readings so I may contact a few people while I’m away and do a few readings, but for the most part, expect to start receiving your messages from me on the Guild on August 2nd. That week I’ll also be announcing details about stuff that I’ll be giving away from the swag box.
And if you didn’t have a chance to check it out this past Sunday, Dax from the Tarot Guild had me on a co-host and we chatted for a little bit about the contest, my tarot work and experience, and whatnot. Then we had on our guest, Roxi Sim, creator of the beautiful Pearls of Wisdom tarot. In the later part of the show Roxi and I did readings for callers which was lots of fun! If you missed it you can check out the archived show on Blog Talk Radio by clicking here for the show and also visiting the Tarot Today show page.
So thank you all for your wonderful help and in a few weeks you’ll all be reaping the benefits too!
The Tarot Guild is having a contest. Help me WIN!!!
Jun 6th
The Tarot Guild, who I talked about earlier this week, is running a contest through the month of June. The Guild member who invites the most new members gets an amazing free swag bag. There are some tarot decks and books in this bag so far that I really, really want and if you all help me out, I think we can make this happen! All you have to do is get an invite to the Guild from me, accept, join the Guild, FOR FREE (no obligation to be a paying member at all), and just enjoy yourself! If you’d like to be a doll and help me out, please send me an email at rowan@rowanpendragon.com with Guild Invitation in the subject line and your email address in the body and I’ll send you an invite through the Guild. Once you join, add me as a friend and then let me know you’re there! That’s it! Simple, free and fun!! If you’re looking for a great place to learn about tarot and further your understanding of tarot, this is place to be. So email me today and sign up!
****UPDATE****
6/11/10
I have a quick update to this for you all! I’ve had a whole bunch of requests for invites to the Tarot Guild and a good number of people have joined the Guild through my invites! Thanks so much!!! But I wanted to offer something to all of you who are helping me as well as give another incentive to all of you who haven’t joined yet.
If I win the contest every person that has joined as a result of one of my invites will get a FREE one question five card tarot, angel, or faery reading from me! Yup, FREE!!! All you have to do is email me, ask for an invite to the Tarot Guild, accept it and set up your account there and that’s it! When I win, EVERY SINGLE PERSON that joined from my invites will get a reading! That’s going to a LOT of readings if we keep things up! But you all deserve it.
Also, if I win there are a handful of items in the prize bag that I already have that I will be giving away for FREE to a select few lucky winners! It could be a tarot or oracle deck, it could be a tarot book, who knows! I’ll be drawing names from a hat of everyone that joined through my invites and those lucky winners will get one of items that I already have. Now, I don’t know what those will be yet since most of the prizes in the prize bag are being kept quite, but there are a few things that I know I already have like the Archangel Michael oracle cards and the Messages from your Power Animals deck. These could be yours! FREE!!! All you have to do is join and help me win them and then I can pass them on to you!
Now, in the sad event that I DON’T win out of all the people that DO join the Tarot Guild through invites from me during the contest, I will draw 5 names from a hat and those 5 people will win a one question reading of their choice. This could be a Celtic Cross tarot reading, an angel reading, a 5 card reading, etc. It will be customized to you and your needs based on one burning question that you might have.
So, either way, you get to join a wicked cool free tarot site and possibly win a reading or some other cool prizes!! So what are you waiting for! Email me and ask for an invite today if you haven’t already and tell your friends to email me for an invite too! And if you’ve received an invite and not yet accepted, what are you waiting for? Do it today!!
Have you visited The Tarot Guild?

I wanted to take a minute to share with everyone some information about a tarot group that I joined a few months ago that is really turning into a wonderful group of people and a wonderful resource of all things tarot. The Tarot Guild is designed to bring together tarot students, enthusiasts, professionals, scholars and the curious to create a well rounded and vibrant community for learning and sharing in tarot. With everything from discussion groups, a forum, a 24-7 chat room and blogs galore, there is always something new going on for you to look through. The Tarot Guild also offers some wonderful classes taught by tarot authors and teachers from around the world; perfect for the beginner and the old timer! And if you’re a professional reader and you’re interested in professional level services to help build your business, they have that too!
The great thing about The Tarot Guild is that you can join the group for FREE!!! This is a big deal for many people right now since the cost of other groups, just to have the community aspect, can range from $25 to $200 a year and that may or may not include classes or professional services. With The Tarot Guild if you just want to have a place to go to chat with other readers, maybe exchange readings with someone, or find a way to expand your knowledge, you can do it for NOTHING! But, if you want some of the professional services you can sign up for a Pro Membership fro $14.95 a month. And if you don’t like it or you don’t think it’s suiting your needs, you can cancel your membership without having to plunk down a large chunk of change for a year or two year membership.
The classes are one of the great things that The Tarot Guild offers. Right now there is at least a class a week on the calendar for the next month or so and there are more in the works all the time. The very first class was held last night by tarot author Janet Boyer, author of “The Back In Time Tarot Book”. The class, dedicated to the court cards of the tarot, was a fun, interesting and lively 2 hour live class held online through a private BlogTalkRadio show with a chat room for everyone to participate in and the ability for students to call in with questions. Everyone’s questions were answered and everyone had a great time! We walked away with some really interesting new ideas on working with the pesky court cards as well as some wonderful handouts for reference (and tons of notes).
“So how much did THAT cost”, you ask? If you’re a free site member you can attend classes for about $15 each. This way you can pick and choose the ones that sound interesting to you! If you are a Pro Member you can attend any class at no additional charge! That alone makes the $15 a month worth it, especially if you think you might attend one or two classes a month!
The great thing about The Tarot Guild is there are some wonderful and respected members of the tarot community on the site. Gail Wood, Rachel Pollock, Emily Carding, Gina M. Pace, Mary K. Greer, and Storm Cestavani to name a few!
Stop by The Tarot Guild, have a pick and sign up for a free account and join in the fun; what do you have to lose? (And be sure to add me as a friend when you get there!) Be sure to also look for The Tarot Guild on Twitter and on Facebook!
